Question 1

How do I know if my AC needs repair?

Accepted Answer

Common signs include warm air from the vents, weak airflow, unusual noises (grinding, squealing, banging), the system not turning on, ice on the refrigerant lines, water leaking from the indoor unit, short cycling, or rising energy bills. If you notice any of these, call for a diagnostic before the problem gets worse.

Question 2

How much does AC repair cost?

Accepted Answer

AC repair costs depend on the specific problem. A diagnostic visit typically runs $175 to $350. Common repairs range from $175 to $1,500 depending on the failed component. Refrigerant leak detection and recharge runs $395 to $950. We provide exact pricing after diagnosis and before starting any work.

Question 3

Can you repair my AC the same day I call?

Accepted Answer

In most cases, yes. We offer same-day AC repair service and complete the majority of repairs in a single visit. If a part needs to be ordered, we will let you know and schedule the follow-up as soon as the part arrives. For emergencies, we are available nights, weekends, and holidays.

Question 4

Should I repair or replace my air conditioner?

Accepted Answer

If your AC is under 10 years old and the repair cost is reasonable for the age of the unit, repair usually makes sense. If the system is over 15 years old, uses R-22 refrigerant, needs frequent repairs, or cannot keep your home comfortable, replacement is typically the better investment. We give you an honest recommendation based on what we find.

Question 5

Do you repair ductless mini-split systems?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We diagnose and repair ductless mini-split systems from all manufacturers. Common mini-split issues include refrigerant leaks, frozen coils, drainage problems, sensor failures, and communication errors between indoor and outdoor units. See our ductless mini-split page for more information.

Question 6

Why is my AC running but not cooling the house?

Accepted Answer

An AC that runs but does not cool usually has one of a few common issues: low refrigerant from a leak, a dirty or frozen evaporator coil restricting heat transfer, a failing compressor, a malfunctioning expansion valve, or a blocked condenser unit outside. Our diagnostic identifies the exact cause.

Question 7

Accepted Answer
